Nellions Moving & Relocations LTD is establishing Kenya’s first Vocational Training School for Professional Movers—Portera Mobility Training Institute.
Our mission is to raise industry standards by equipping movers with world-class skills in packing, lifting, logistics, customer service, health and safety, and professionalism.
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Principal-Trainer to lead the school, develop the curriculum, deliver core training modules, and ensure compliance with national accreditation bodies.
This is a unique leadership role at the intersection of education, training, and industry.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Training
– Design, develop, and continuously update training curricula tailored to the moving and logistics industry.
– Deliver core modules including packing, lifting techniques, logistics, HSE standards, use of moving equipment, and customer service.
– Plan and conduct both theoretical and practical sessions, ensuring trainees gain market-ready competencies.
– Assess and mentor students through continuous assessments, projects, practicals, and external exam preparation.
School Leadership & Oversight
– Provide strategic direction and leadership for the school.
– Ensure compliance with TVETA, KNEC, CDACC, and other regulatory standards.
– Oversee admissions, timetabling, examinations, certification, and student records.
– Supervise training facilities, tools, and resources to ensure quality delivery.
– Maintain discipline, a positive learning culture, and student welfare.
Industry & Compliance Linkages
– Build partnerships with moving and logistics companies for internships and job placements.
– Represent the school in stakeholder forums, government engagements, and industry associations.
– Monitor institutional performance indicators and implement continuous improvement.
– Ensure adherence to accreditation requirements and prepare the school for audits and inspections.
Qualifications & Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Logistics, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
– Diploma holders with significant industry and training experience may be considered.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in vocational training, logistics, or the moving industry.
– Must hold a Certificate in Pedagogy (Teaching Strategies) or be registered by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) as a Trainer.
– Strong knowledge of KNEC/CDACC exam procedures.
– Practical industry experience in logistics or moving operations is highly desirable.
