Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grader Operator.

The Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining a motor grader to prepare
and maintain construction sites.

This includes tasks such as leveling ground, excavating trenches, and creating roadbeds.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate and maintain a motor grader to perform various tasks such as:
o Leveling and grading construction sites
o Excavating trenches and ditches
o Creating roadbeds and shoulders
o Maintaining gravel roads
2.Perform daily pre-operational inspections of the grader, including checking
fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall machine condition.
3. Report any mechanical problems or safety hazards to the supervisor
immediately.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
5. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
6. Assist other construction workers as needed

Qualifications:

  • KCSE or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Minimum2-3 years of experience operating a motor grader.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical
    problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Physical Demands:

  1. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  2. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  3. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  4. Ability to work in confined spaces
