JOB OPPORTUNITY: LODGE CHEF IN SAMBURU

Are you passionate about culinary excellence and ready for an adventure in the wild?
We are looking to hire a talented and enthusiastic chef for an exclusive luxurious lodge, nestled in the heart of Kenya’s breathtaking wilderness in Samburu.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and prepare high-quality meals (local and international cuisine) for guests and staff.

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and kitchen safety at all times.

  • Oversee food inventory and manage supplies efficiently in a remote setting.

  • Cater to special dietary requirements and guest preferences.

  • Ensure cost-effective menu planning and portion control.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a four-star hotel, lodge, or safari camp.

  • Formal culinary training or relevant hospitality certification.

  • Strong plating and food presentation skills.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.

  • Ability to work and live in a remote bush/park environment.

  • Team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.

Location: Samburu National Reserve

Contract Type: Full-time, live-in position
Accommodation and meals provided on-site.
