Tom Mboya University Masters Scholarships – 9 Opportunities
The Government of Kenya, through the State Department of Higher Education, has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to support the HEST Phase II project. The project aims to improve access to quality higher education, training and research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Tom Mboya University intends to apply part of the financing towards scholarships in STEM.

Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship package will cover:

For the duration of study
The scholarships are open to Kenyans under 30 years of age, who will be engaged as Graduate Assistants or Tutorial Fellows.
The funded programmes are scheduled to commence in August 2026.
Tom Mboya University Scholarships -Eligibility Requirements
Applicants:
- For Graduate Assistant positions, must have at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognized and accredited university.
- For Tutorial Fellow positions, must have at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a relevant Master’s degree from a recognized and accredited university.
- Upon successful completion of the Master’s programme, candidates will be expected to transition to Ph.D. under the scholarship programme.
- Successful candidates will be bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of Tom Mboya University.
- Candidates must complete their studies within the prescribed study period.
- Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and/or regulatory bodies, where applicable.
