Location: KPP, Hodan District, Mogadishu, Somalia
Midrar Academy is looking for a qualified and experienced Biology and Chemistry Teacher to join its teaching team and contribute to the academic and personal development of its students.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that follow the school curriculum.
- Encourage students to reach their academic and personal potential.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate progress records.
- Promote positive student behaviour and maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Teach Biology and Chemistry while incorporating relevant cross-curricular activities.
- Ensure classroom resources and learning materials are properly maintained.
- Encourage students to use English to support their academic development.
- Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality and effective teamwork.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Biology, Chemistry, Education or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in a relevant subject area.
- Familiarity with IGCSE/GCSE and/or A-Level curricula.
- Ability to teach more than one subject.
- Experience teaching students whose first language is not English.
- A strong commitment to teaching and supporting students’ overall development.
- Good business and professional communication skills.
- A professional attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The candidate must be free from the use of addictive substances.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive:
- Starting salary of USD 270
