JOB ADVERT – Overall Stock Controller

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Overall Stock Controller to oversee stock management, reconciliation, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company procedures. The successful candidate will ensure accurate stock accountability, supervise assistant store controllers, and maintain proper inventory records across all product categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily stock reconciliation and inventory control processes.
  • Ensure accurate application of stock reconciliation formulas and matching of physical sales against system sales.
  • Supervise and support Assistant Store Controllers (Beer, Spirits, and Empties).
  • Verify stock loading, receiving, and inventory movement records.
  • Conduct routine and impromptu physical stock counts in stores and delivery vehicles.
  • Investigate, document, and report stock variances and shortages.
  • Ensure all reconciliation documents and supporting records are complete, accurate, and properly filed.
  • Clear VSMs for loading after confirming reconciliation accuracy and variance resolution.
  • Maintain knowledge of all company SKUs, including beer, spirits, and empties.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs and stock control procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Stores Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory, stores, warehouse, or stock control management.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Distributor Management System (DMS) Knowledge is an added advantage.
