Our client, a 3-Star Hotel in Ruiru, is seeking to hire a dynamic and experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Executive Housekeeping Job in Kenya -JOB PURPOSE
Leads housekeeping and laundry operations for the 182-bed hotel, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and linen operations consistently meet required cleanliness, presentation, productivity and cost standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage housekeeping staffing, shift schedules, daily room assignments and manpower deployment according to occupancy.
• Set, communicate and audit cleanliness, room-presentation and public-area standards.
• Conduct and enforce room, corridor, public-area and back-of-house inspection routines.
• Oversee Floor Supervisors, Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants and the Laundry Manager/Supervisor.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office on room status, priority rooms, VIP arrivals, out-of-order rooms and turnaround times.
• Oversee laundry production, linen par levels, linen inventory, losses, replacement cycles and turnaround standards.
• Prepare and control the housekeeping budget, cleaning supplies, guest amenities, uniforms, equipment and departmental purchases.
• Maintain inventory controls for linen, amenities, chemicals, cleaning materials and housekeeping equipment.
• Establish safe chemical-handling, equipment-use, hygiene and occupational-safety practices.
• Recruit, train, coach and evaluate housekeeping staff and supervisors.
• Monitor productivity, room-cleaning times, absenteeism, overtime and departmental labour cost.
• Coordinate with Engineering on room defects, preventive maintenance and timely closure of maintenance issues.
Executive Housekeeping Job in Kenya – MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Housekeeping Management or related field.
• 5+ years in housekeeping operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Demonstrated experience managing housekeeping staffing, scheduling, inspections and room assignments.
• Strong knowledge of laundry/linen control, inventory management, cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment.
• Budgeting, cost-control, team leadership and interdepartmental coordination skills.
• Experience in a sizeable hotel operation is strongly preferred.
