PSC Internships 2026

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced applications for the 2026/2027 Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) – Cohort 9. This initiative is designed to equip recent university graduates with practical workplace experience, professional skills, and exposure to Kenya’s public service institutions.

Successful applicants will be attached to various Government Ministries, State Departments, State Corporations, Agencies, and Public Universities for a period of one year.

About the Internship Programme

The Public Service Internship Programme is a government initiative aimed at empowering young graduates by providing valuable work experience that enhances employability, develops professional competencies, and creates opportunities for networking and career growth.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Have graduated in 2020 or later.
Possess basic computer literacy and digital skills.
Have never participated in a similar government internship programme.

Responsibilities of Interns

Selected interns will be expected to:

Perform duties assigned by their supervisors.
Gain practical experience while supporting day-to-day operations.
Keep records of the skills and knowledge acquired during the internship.
Participate in mentorship programmes, professional development activities, and other assignments related to the internship.

Internship Duration

12 months
Non-renewable

Monthly Stipend

Interns will receive a government-approved stipend throughout the internship period.

Certificate of Completion

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive an official Certificate of Completion from the Public Service Commission.
