Kisii University Masters Scholarships – Full details

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the HEST Phase II project, which seeks to improve access to quality higher education, training and research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Kisii University intends to use part of the financing to support scholarships in STEM fields.

Available Master’s Scholarships

Total scholarships: 10

What the Scholarship Covers

The scholarship package will cover:

• Tuition fees
• Research costs
• For the duration of study

The scholarships are open to Kenyans under the age of 30 years, who will also be engaged as Graduate Assistants.

Programmes are scheduled to commence in August 2026.

Important Eligibility Requirements

Applicants:

1. Must have obtained at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a relevant degree from a recognized and accredited university.
2. Upon successful completion of the Master’s programme, candidates will be expected to transition to a Ph.D. under the scholarship programme.
3. Successful candidates will be bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of Kisii University.
4. Successful candidates must complete their studies within the prescribed study period.
5. Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and/or regulatory bodies, where applicable.
