Here are the latest Kenyan Universities Ranking (top 5)

The latest Kenyan universities ranking s (Worldwide) by the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP)  are out.

And there are five Kenyan universities in the top 2500 top universities globally, up from the previous 4 institutions who made the cut in 2016-2017.

Accordingly, it seems that these are the crème de la crème of universities in Kenya. Here they are and their respective rankings in Africa and on the planet.

Significantly, all Kenyan universities dropped massively with UoN dropping 53 places globally, JKUAT falling 35 spots, Moi a massive 263 positions and KU nose-diving 72 places.

The top 3 positions remained unchanged from last year with Havard University (USA) retaining its number 1 ranking followed closely by University of Toronto (Canada) and the Oxford University (UK) at number three.

American and British institution dominated the top 10 with Stanford University (USA), University College London (UK), John Hopkins University (USA),  University of Cambridge  (UK),  Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA), University of Michigan (USA), and University of Washington, Seattle (USA) occupying position 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 respectively.

China’s Tsinghua University is the best university from outside North America and Europe at number 18 while the renowned University of Cape Town (South Africa) tops in Africa at position 241 Worldwide.

This is not surprising as South African colleges have been far ahead of their peers from the rest of the continent for some time now.
